About Inside Jyväskylä

  at 10:36
Hi, my name is Daniel and I write Inside Jyväskylä.  I'm 25, originally from England, and have lived in Finland for a bit over three years.  I met my Finnish boyfriend online and first visited him in Jyväskylä in 2005.  We visited each other a few times subsequently, and I eventually moved here.  I am currently a student at the University of Jyväskylä in the process of writing my Master's thesis and I also work part-time as an English tutor.

Inside Jyväskylä officially launched on 1 January 2011.  Ideas for a blog had been in the back of my mind for quite some time before I managed to formulate an idea that I felt would work.  The aim is to provide useful information to residents old and new relevant to both living in Jyväskylä and Finland in general.  The blog is still young and it is my hope that it will quickly grow and develop.

A blog is no good without a readership, so I aim for it to be as accessible as possible.  I also welcome comments, criticism and any sort of feedback that will help improve the blog and allow its readers to get more of what they want.

Thank you for reading Inside Jyväskylä.  Please stick around and contribute - the readers are the most valuable part of any blog, and I know that together we can make something great.
